Regenerative grazing is a method of managing livestock in a way that promotes soil health, biodiversity and ecological resilience. Regenerative grazing uses livestock as a tool for improving ecological outcomes, but like any tool it is how it is used that determines the level of success attained for these outcomes.

At NATIV, we use regenerative grazing techniques as a part of our holistic management plan to help ascertain the ecological outcomes for our farm.

We proudly adhere to the highest animal welfare standards, with low-stress stock handling techniques at the core of our suppliers' practices.

The beef protein currently used in Nativ Foods Primal Protein is sourced from grass-fed European cattle and manufactured in Sweden.

At present, this specific type of hydrolysed beef protein is not commercially produced in Australia to the specification and quality we require. 

Where our ingredients come from is incredibly important to us. We come from farming backgrounds and operate our own regenerative farm in Australia, where we raise Australian grass-fed and finished beef for NATIV Meats. Knowing where our beef comes from, regenerative farming and supporting Australian agriculture where possible is at the heart of what we do. 

Our long-term goal is for the beef protein used in Primal Protein to also be made from Australian grass-fed and finished beef. We are exploring ways to develop this capability locally so that, in time, we can bring more of the Primal Protein supply chain back to Australia.

Until then, we have chosen a high-quality grass-fed beef protein ingredient that meets our requirements for Primal Protein, while continuing to work towards a future where the product reflects the same Australian sourcing philosophy behind Nativ Meats.

Our organic beef and chicken broths are certainly the winner when it comes to medicinal levels of collagen! The broths are made with our own signature recipe, cooked the right way over 18+ hours, with apple cider vinegar, roasted vegetables, celtic salt and copius amounts of organic grass fed and finished bones. They have 5.1g (beef) and 4.1g (chicken) of collagen per serve.

We’re working on a skincare range using our beef tallow! While it’s still in development, many of our customers love using our culinary tallow on their skin. Though it’s not technically cosmetic grade (which involves an extra step to remove all traces of odour and impurities), our tallow is triple-filtered and has a mild, vanilla-like scent. If you’d like, you can melt it down, mix in essential oils, or even try a wet render at home using a slow cooker to refine it further.
